Jesus was in Hedes from Nisan 14 to 16.
A man with a powerful testimony from God was murdered by organized religion.Nevertheless, God's mighty works did not end with death.
Let's take a look at the following.
Jesus breathed his last around 3:00 p.m. on Friday Nisan 14, and was resurrected in the early morning of Sunday Nisan 16.
Friday Nisan 14 - Sunday Nisan 16
18:00pm | Friday Nisan 14 begins. |
19:00pm | Celebrating Passover after sunset, then starting the memorial of his death. |
21:00pm | Around this time, he was arrested. |
22:00pm | He was interrogated by Annas and subjected to unfair trial and humiliation by Caiaphas, the Sanhedrin, Pilate, and Herod throughout the night. |
10:00am | He was returned to Pilate for trial and Pilate tried to release Jesus, but was defeated by the crowd. |
12:00pm | He is impaled. Darkness falls over the Judea and extends until 3:00 p.m. |
15:00pm | He breathed his last on the pole and went to Hades. (he died.) |
18:00pm | Saturday, Nisan 15 begins. |
18:00pm | Sunday, Nisan 16 begins. |
06:00am | He was resurrected early in the morning, and Maria Magdalene and the other Mary were the first witnesses of his resurrection. |
Thus, Jesus was in Hades for three days span (actually a day and a half, 39h) from Friday to Sunday.
Mt 12:39-40
39 In reply he said to them: “A wicked and adulterous generation keeps on seeking for a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jo′nah the prophet. 40 For just as Jo′nah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
After His resurrection, Jesus remained on earth for 40 days until His ascension, appearing to His disciples to deepen their faith in His resurrection and to give them the necessary instructions and encouragement for their future activities.
The Christian dynamic activity was not over.
Rather, a powerful work was about to begin that would lead to a worldwide work that would continue until Christ's promised return.
Instructions and teachings left by Jesus during the 40 days before his ascension
Joh 21:12-15, 21-2212 Jesus said to them: “Come, take YOUR breakfast.” Not one of the disciples had the courage to inquire of him: “Who are you?” because they knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish likewise. 14 This was now the third time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after his being raised up from the dead.
15 When, now, they had breakfasted, Jesus said to Simon Peter: “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him: “Yes, Lord, you know I have affection for you.” He said to him: “Feed my lambs.”
21 Accordingly, when he caught sight of him, Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this [man do]?” 22 Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.”
How others are used by the Lord is not our business. We should focus our attention to follow Christ firmly as an individual, not to follow men or organizations!
Mt 28:18-20
18 And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in my name, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
Jesus promises that the disciples will eventually be baptized in the Holy Spirit and instructs them to remain in Jerusalem until then.
Then He told His disciples that they would be witnesses of Christ's resurrection in all the earth, and He returned to heaven.
Christians must be witnesses to Christ's resurrection and therefore clearly understand why His sacrificial death became necessary and what benefit His resurrection will bring to the children of Adam.
Therefore, Christians are not witnesses of Jehovah God. The issue of the universal sovereignty of Jehovah God is a baseless phony conceived and utilized by JF. Rutherford to unite Jehovah's Witnesses for the Watchtower society.
Ac 1:3-8
3 To these also by many positive proofs he showed himself alive after he had suffered, being seen by them throughout forty days and telling the things about the kingdom of God. 4 And while he was meeting with them he gave them the orders: “Do not withdraw from Jerusalem, but keep waiting for what the Father has promised, about which YOU heard from me; 5 because John, indeed, baptized with water, but YOU will be baptized in holy spirit not many days after this.”
6 When, now, they had assembled, they went asking him: “Lord, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” 7 He said to them: “It does not belong to YOU to get knowledge of the times or seasons which the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction; 8 but YOU will receive power when the holy spirit arrives upon YOU, and YOU will be witnesses of me both in Jerusalem and in all Ju‧de′a and Sa‧mar′i‧a and to the most distant part of the earth.”
The primary concern of the Christian is to bear witness to true Christianity as a witness to Christ's resurrection, not the chronological calculation of prophecy.
The Watchtower Society began with a man who was obsessed with the chronological calculation of prophecy, so it had a factor deceived by Satan from the beginning. Russell utilized occult dating and Rutherford utilized channeling (mediumship).
Therefore, please realize that even if the Watchtower society has some truth, it is itself a vessel of Satan that holds people captive.
